Bust David

This bust, made entirely of crushed marble of Carrara, depicts The victorious David, shortly after the defeat of the giant Goliath. The expression is vacant but expresses pride conscious of its divine election of the character. David was a shepherd boy Israelite, while Goliath was the most feared warrior of the Philistines.
