Augustus bust
Augustus was the first Roman emperor. The Senate gave him the title of Augustus January 16, 27 BC and in 23 BC It was recognized tribunicia potestas and the Imperium proconsulare to life; while in 12 BC It became Pontifex Maximus. He remained in power until his death and his principality was the longest of the imperial Rome.
